2. The Importance of Cell Division: Read p.36-37, and record on the handout the three reasons for cell division to occur. Complete the handout. Answer p.37 #2-4.
3. The Cell Cycle: Read p.40 and draw the cell cycle diagram in your notes. Name the three stages of the cell cycle. State which of them is the longest, and which is the shortest by consulting the diagram. Name the two stages of cell division and state briefly what happens during each.
