We discussed standard enthalpy change and the different methods of writing a thermochemical equation.  There are several types of molar enthalpy.  Read p.306, 309-311, 313-319 for help.  Answer p.310 #4, 5; p.311 #6-10; p.319 #1b; p.320 Section #1.
 
Calorimeters are used to measure the heat energy, q, absorbed or released in a physical or chemical change.  See p.308-311 in your text for help.  We completed an informal experiment using calorimeters.
Homework: Complete the questions from the experiment.  Record the assumptions made for calorimetry at the top of page 309.
